Preventive, corrective and predictive industrial maintenance

Keeping the line running costs less than restarting it.

Motor-pump set on a baseplate with an accelerometer on the bearing housing, connected to a portable analyzer showing the vibration spectrum.

How it works

Preventive maintenance follows a schedule: planned inspection, lubrication, adjustments and wear assessment. Corrective maintenance acts once the fault has happened, with diagnosis, repair and component replacement. Predictive maintenance measures the condition of the machine in order to act before the fault.

Vibration analysis is one of the tools of predictive maintenance. Each fault leaves its signature on the spectrum: unbalance marks the running speed, misalignment its second harmonic and a damaged bearing its own frequencies, so the shutdown can be planned instead of suffered.

What is included

  • Preventive maintenancePlanned equipment inspection, lubrication and technical adjustments, wear and performance assessment.
  • Corrective maintenanceIndustrial machinery repair, diagnosis of mechanical and electrical faults, component replacement.
  • Predictive maintenanceTechnical assessment of equipment, vibration and performance analysis.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance?

Preventive follows a schedule, corrective repairs a fault that has already happened, and predictive measures the condition of the machine in order to act before it fails.

What does vibration analysis detect?

Faults such as unbalance, misalignment or bearing damage, because each one leaves a different signature on the machine's frequency spectrum.
