Anodizing, Teflon coating and anticorrosion coatings
The finish decides how long a part lasts and how it behaves in service.
Request a quoteHow it works
Anodizing grows on aluminum an oxide layer that is part of the metal itself, hard and corrosion resistant. Its thickness depends on current density and time in the bath. Teflon coating reduces friction and keeps product from sticking, and an anticorrosion coating protects metal in aggressive environments.
It pays to choose the finish together with the part: a coating adds thickness, and on a tight dimension that has to be planned before machining.
What is included
- Industrial Teflon coatingLow friction and non-stick.
- AnodizingA hard, resistant oxide layer on aluminum.
- Anticorrosion coatingsProtection against aggressive environments.

Frequently asked questions
What does anodizing thickness depend on?
On current density and time in the bath. As a rule of thumb for sulfuric anodizing, about 0.33 microns form per A/dm² per minute.
Does a coating change the dimensions of the part?
Yes, it adds thickness. That is why on tight dimensions it is worth considering before machining.
